HP Support
Hewlett Packard has a unique form of support. No "800" number for them, not even if you just bought the product but a toll number so the caller, who is calling to ask for support with an HP product they just bought, has to not only pay to talk to a rep. but pay while they wait to talk to a rep.
Their reps also like to put you on hold while they talk to their supervisor about your problem. Not a minute or two mind you, but 10 to 15 minutes at at time. Meanwhile your long distance provider is keeping the clock ticking and ticking and ticking.
They will arrange to have a tech come by your house to look at the problem but as with all in home service, they can't tell you when they will be by, only what day they will be by.
My suggestion is if you want to buy HP, do it at a local established store - not over-the-phone and not on line. At least the store will have regular hours and will have to take the defective product back.
